Peyton, Today the world stopped for 3 minutes and 25 seconds. Two muzungu’s and Father Jude were at the car wash! The car wash in Uganda is not like America where you go through a machine with many colorful lights and bubbles. This car wash takes 30 minutes because they hand wash the cars!

While waiting Deacon Matt saw a man on a hand peddling 3 wheeled bike, slowly moving up a VERY steep hill on his way to work. The muzungu (Deacon Matt) watched the man struggle for not even a second. Immediately, the muzungu left his muzungu daughter and his friend Father Jude at the car wash to run and help the man who was struggling up the hill.

The muzungu did not know where this man was going.

The muzungu did not know the man.

The muzungu did not know how heavy the bike was going to be.

BUT!

The muzungu continued to push this man up the steep hill while others stopped what they were doing just to see what the muzungu was doing!

What was he doing?

The muzungu was treating others the way he wants to be treated.

The muzungu was loving others as Jesus loves him!

The muzungu was serving others as Jesus serves him!

Just like the muzungu did it’s YOUR turn to strive everyday to love and serve others!

Love, Peyton
