Peyton and I are traveling to Uganda for a mission trip. We are getting on airplanes in Denver and Phoenix where we will meet in New York to fly over to Uganda. We will land in Uganda on May 26 after a full two days of travel. Fr. Jude T. Ssenngendo, Our Lady of Presentation Ndibata Catholic Parish, will pick us up at the airport and take us throughout the country to spread the good news of the gospel. On the day of our departure the first reading from mass was Acts 16:22-34. In this reading after being beaten for proclaiming the good news the apostles found joy in their captivity. After God freed them they went out and continued proclaiming the Gospel and serving others in the name of Jesus Christ by caring for their bodily and spiritual needs

“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your

household will be saved.” So they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house.

He took them in at that hour of the night and bathed their wounds; then he and all his family were baptized at once. He brought them up into his house and provided a meal and with his household rejoiced at having come to faith in God.” Acts 16: 30-34

As missionaries of ‘Jesus Loves Me’ Peyton and I will be proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ and seeking to serve the basic physical and spiritual needs of the people of Uganda. While we are there we will:

  • Visit the orphanage taking bags with colored pencils, paper, rosaries and blankets.

  • Visit seminarians taking books and witnessing to them about what our world needs in a priest.

  • Visit the primary and secondary school taking bags with pencils, erasers, paper, and rosaries.

  • Visit a board member of an organization with a mission to teach sustainable farming practices.

  • Speak one-on-one with Ugandan citizens to find ways that we can meet their greatest needs.

  • Attend ‘Feast off the 24 Ugandan Martyrs’ celebration on June 3 which is Ugandan public holiday

You may follow our journey at jesuslovesme143.com where we will provide daily updates, when possible. Please pray for our safety, strength and courage to spread the love of Jesus Christ.

God bless you and thank you for your financial support!
